AGM Proxy Voting

For those that are interested in proxy voting for this October's AGM please find a link to the required form below.

Branch Proxy Vote Form

The following are rules and considerations for proxy voting:

  • Proxies and proxy holders must be members in good standing of the PPBSO and the branch concerned.

  • A maximum of five (5) proxy votes per branch member.

  • The completed forms must be received by the PPBSO operations manager (email is on the form) 24 hours before the branch AGM starts.

  • The operations manager will forward the correctly completed and correctly submitted proxy vote forms to the scrutineer(s) for the branch AGM once the scrutineer(s) are appointed and approved by the meeting.

  • Proxy holders must bring the completed proxy form to the meeting so they can be registered. They will be provided with ballots for each proxy, if ballots are used - or counted by a show of hands, when ballots are not used.

Pipers and Pipe Band Society of Ontario

The PPBSO — the Pipers’ and Pipe Band Society of Ontario — administers piping, drumming and pipe band contest at various highland games throughout Ontario. Several of these annual summer competitions have special designations, including the North American Championship, the Canadian Championship and the Ontario Championship.

The Niagara-Hamilton Branch is one of several local PPBSO branches throughout Ontario. We hold monthly meetings from October through April.

In addition to being a fun social gathering, our meetings provide opportunities to develop piping and drumming in our area.

We hold annual Amateur Competitions for amateur pipers and drummers.

We also hold the Livingstone InvitationalAgnew-Harrison Drumming Invitational, support the George Sherriff Memorial Invitational and The Highland Gala.
